Dr. Washington Bond, an old and highly respected citizen of Shelby county, died at his residence, four miles northeast of Bartlett, yesterday morning, after a protracted illness of several years duration, from pulmonary consumption. Dr. Bond was an active member of the Methodist church, and of the Masonic Fraternity, and was well-known and greatly esteemed by all of the old citizens of the county. His funeral will take place tomorrow at the family burying ground.
