Son of Daniel Smith and Mary Simerly. Husband of Elizabeth Lacy.He was originally buried in Smith Cemetery ("Smith Cemetery #4" was how it was designated by the TVA. This was a small cemetery of only six graves, and five of them were removed. The person responsible for the removal of Mary and Ezekiel's remains was John G. Smith, Mary's son and Ezekiel's grandson. They were moved because the cemetery was to be affected by the Watauga dam.
