Green Berry Evans served in the Civil War as a Confederate. He married Julia Ann McCanless in Lincoln Co, TN on 24 Sep 1868. He died in 1893 and is buried with his wife in the Fayetteville Quadrangle of the Kennedy-Thomison Cemetary, 2 1/2 mi. north of Fayetteville, TN on east side of Hwy 231.
