February 8, 1910 - July 17, 1998
Iva W. Chauncey died Friday, July 17, 1998, at a local nursing home.
She was 88. The lifelong Soddy-Daisy and Chattanooga area resident was an East Ridge Baptist Church member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Chauncey; and parents, Willie and Edna Youther Wilson.
Survivors include a daughter, Earlene Moody, Baton Rouge, La.; three sons, Clyde Chauncey, Fayetteville, Ga., Donald Chauncey, Lexington, N.C., James Chauncey, Orlando; five sisters, Alma Livesberger, Niles, Mich., Ella Lewis, Soddy, Ida Hawkins, Signal Mountain, Mary Smith, Goodview, Va., Effie Redden, Daisy; two brothers, Clarence Wilson, Chattanooga, Elmer Wilson, Flat Rock, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Highway 58 Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Sparks officiating.
Burial will be in Chauncey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
