Obituary:
Eleanor Sarah Chancey, 84, of Soddy-Daisy, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at a local hospital.
She was a charter member of Soddy Community Chapel and was retired from Signal Knitting Mill after 43 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Rose Chancey, and sister, Ruby Chancey.
She is survived by her sister, Jewell C. Brown; aunt, Marie Hatfield; nephews, Kenneth and Gary Brown; several great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Ewender and the Rev. Grover Dunn officiating.
Interment will follow in Chancey Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
