Eslick Branch Cemetery
Lincoln County,
Tennessee

The Eslick Branch Cemetery is a small cemetery located on top of a hill on the original property settled by the Eslick family in 1812 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. This is the second of two Eslick family cemeteries established by the Eslick family. The Eslick Branch Cemetery suffers from horrific desecration by the property owners who bought the property from the Eslick family in the 1990's. The new owners built a house beside the cemetery and did not want the cemetery close to their house so the stones were removed with a sledge hammer and discarded and a garage was built over the cemetery. The Eslick Branch Cemetery is about 150 years old and sits on the hill above Eslick Branch which runs into Tucker's Creek and then empties into the Elk River. This property has been in the Eslick family since 1812 where Isaac Eslick settled with a land grant. Countless Eslick family graves are now unmarked and are lost to time due to this vandalism.
