William BRYAN

Bryan - Hovis Cemetery
Lincoln County,
Tennessee

March 23, 1784 - December 1870

William was a son of James Bryan. William met and married Lucinda Hampton of NC, some children born in SC and some in TN, migrating to Lincoln Co.
According to descendants the Bryan's once had an Antebellum
two story home where the Hovis' home-new brick home stands in the picture for cemetery, to the right. It stood until the 1930's. William and Lucinda are thought to be buried also in Bryan-Hovis Cemetery and probably the first interments of that cemetery.
A researcher Frances (Bryan)West formerly of Fayetteville, went to play with friends who owned the place, the original Bryan Homestead at Coldwater.
